Medical grade capillary tubes refer to a precision, small-diameter, thin-wall tubular products manufactured from SUS304 (also known as SS304 or UNS S30400) austenitic stainless steel. The tube is produced using a longitudinal welding process and is specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of ISO 9626:2016. This tube is the raw material for hypodermic needles, cannulas, biopsy probes, and other minimally invasive surgical instruments. The tube starts as a flat stainless steel strip which is roll-formed and seam-welded, as opposed to seamless tube (drawn from a solid billet).
Why SUS304 for Medical Tubes?
